Teams become part of inclusive series of games in a round robin format and their results are often actively updated on the record board. Therefore, at the end of the day, Head Referee is responsible for validating the record board, declare the winning team and also present awards. “We are the Champions” thunders out as the medals are awarded.
It’s a tired but happy group that makes its way from the field of play.
